talking with my friend Chandler last night helped put a lot of my life into perspective. Here he is, a 25 year old guy who has undergone one of the most ridiculous medical journeys of anyone I know. His first bout with cancer was when he was little, the second just a while after his 21st birthday. I can officially say that he is one of my favorite people on the planet (that list has been expanded to somewhere in the 20s, but he's in the top 5 i assure you). I've been so caught up in a "poor me" mindset. He was just so encouraging and just...i dont know. I guess he's one of those people you have to talk to in order to understand. but i promise, its hard to feel sorry for yourself when you're talking to a walking miracle. especially when he does the Gollum voice (he has only a couple vocal chords left, it makes him sound scary and mysterious).
