i stare at the cross, cuz without it i'm lost

i want to live my life like that. things blow up so hugely out of proportion. they become mountains in my mind, when in reality, it's just a grain of sand in an eternal perspective.

"Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and wherethieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where theives do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. The eye is the lamp of the body. So, if your eye is healthy, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light in you is darkness, how great is the darkness! no one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.

Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the filed, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? therefore do not be anxious saying "What shall we eat" or "what shall we wear"? For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly father knows that you need them all. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things will be added to you. Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient fot the day is it's own trouble" Matthew 6:19-34

I'm realizing one of my hugest sins (evident from the 2nd to last blog i wrote) is not being content with God. In a more tangable way, it's not being happy with how God has made me or my worth in Him. But at the end of it, it's me not being content with just GOD. not being completely, head-over-heels in love with Him. I want to be. I desire to be. I don't seek hard enough to be.

That's it. I'm done settling for "knowing" God. i want to KNOW GOD. Intimately. i want to gnosko God. I don't want to oida Him. (greek is fun. gnosko=experiencial knowledge; oida=head knowledge). HE IS MY FATHER. MY DADDY.

God want's ME! He wants to KNOW ME! I am CHRIST'S BRIDE! I don't want to whore myself to the world and to it's passions and idols and indulgences. I want to be faithful to my LORD, to seek after HIM and HIM ALONE!

oh, LORD! make me yours, don't let me build up idols before myself, let me only have eyes for you! i want to love you passionately, I want to be consumed by you God!

PRAISE THE LORD!
Praise the Lord from the heavens, praise him in the heights!
Praise him, all his angels: praise him, all his hosts!
Praise him, sun and moon, praise him, all you shining stars!
Praise him you highest heavens, and you waters above the heavens!
Let them praise the name of the lord!
For he commanded and they were created
And he established them forever and ever
he gave a decree, and it shall not pass away
Praise the lord from the earth, you great sea creatures and all deeps,
fire and hail, snow and mist, stormy wind fulfilling his word!
Mountains and all hills,
fruit trees and all cedars!
Beasts and all livestock, creeping things and flying birds!
Kings of the earth and all peoples, princes and all rulers of the earth!
Young men and maidens together,
old men and children!
Let them praise the name of the LORD,
for his name alone is exalted:
his majesty is above earth and heaven.
He has raised up a horn for his people,
praise for all his saints,
for the people of Israel who are near to him,
PRAISE THE LORD!!!!

-Psalm 148

Praise the Lord!
Praise God in his sanctuary;
praise him in his mighty heavens!
Praise him for his mighty deeds;
praise him according to his excellent greatness!

Praise him with trumpet sound;
praise him with lute and harp!
praise him with tambourine and dance;
praise him with strings and pipe!
Praise him with sounding cymbals;
praise him with loud clashing cymbals!
LET EVERYTHING THAT HAS BREATH PRAISE THE LORD!
PRAISE THE LORD!

Psalm 150
